An academic collection is considered to be the set of documents produced and received about the academic life of students and necessary to prove their studies, pursuant to art. 37 of the MEC Ordinance. Higher Education Institutions (HEIs), public or private, belonging to the federal education system. It is forbidden to produce new documents that are part of the academic collection on physical support.
Received physical documents must be converted to digital media as of August 1, 2022.

- 36 months, for the set of documents relating to the academic life of students graduated from January 1, 2001 to December 31, 2015.
