Session time and IP access limit: learn about the new security measures
Always seeking to provide a worry-free experience when sending documents for signature, Clicksign has been further improving the security of the platform. In this context, two updates were made to the Clicksign platform, allowing the account administrator to control the access session time and also the range of IPs authorized to use the platform.
Learn more below.
Setting a session timeout
Session time is an established mechanism for the safety of Clicksign users. It determines the period of time in which it will be possible to interact with the platform from the moment the login is made.
This feature automates the disconnection of the session after the predefined period, preventing sensitive information from remaining accessible for an excessive amount of time.
It will now be possible for account administrators to configure the time limit according to their needs.
For example, if the administrator sets the session time to 4 hours, the user will be compulsorily logged out 4 hours after logging in to the platform. If you wish to continue using Clicksign, you will need to log in again.
By doing so, we reduce the risk of unauthorized access if a user forgets to log out or if a device is left unattended. This is particularly crucial in shared environments, where multiple users can use the same device to access the platform.
Limiting access via IP
In an environment where contracts and documents are frequently shared, IP access delimitation provides an additional layer of control over data security.
At Clicksign, this setting was designed to allow the account administrator to do the limitation of authorized IPs, offering an additional level of security for customers who have this compliance requirement in their companies.
By implementing this measure, Clicksign restricts access to the platform to specific IPs only. This means that only pre-authorized and trusted IPs can connect to that specified account, reducing the risk of unauthorized access to critical information.
For plans that include this functionality, the configuration is available in the “Security” tab, within the “Settings” menu, under the “IP Access Restriction” option.
